Son of the famous Victorian painter Alfred De Breanski, 1852-1928, Alfred Fontville de Breanski Jnr was taught by his father and chose to paint in a very similar style. Both of them concentrated on landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and often the Welsh mountains and valleys, with romantic mists and brooding clouds, cattle in the foreground and heather and birch trees. Father and son were both tremendously popular and remain so today. Breanski exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Academy. Alfred Fontville de Breanski Jnr signed his works A.F. de Breanski
