C Frater (alias F E Jamieson)

We believe that C Frater is a pseudonym used by Francis E Jamieson. This judgment is based solely on our experience of handling paintings by Jamieson. As yet we have no direct evidence that Jamieson included this name among his several known aliases. Paintings signed by C Frater are sold by us as painted by Jamieson on the understanding that this is our best judgment and without guarantee that this assertion is yet proved. PP
